SLU Community Council notice of annual meeting and community election

SOUTH LAKE UNION – The South Lake Union Community Council will hold its 2016 annual meeting and community election on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the 415 Westlake special events venue in the heart of South Lake Union.

South Lake Union stakeholders interested in nomination for an open position with the Community Council’s Board of Directors must submit a written nomination no later than 5 p.m. PT Wednesday, May 11, 2016.  

Nominations in the form of a letter of interest clearly identifying the person’s neighborhood affiliation as a stakeholder, the board position category (community elected or board appointed) in which they are interested, their interest in serving on the Board of Directors along with their address, phone and eMail contact information.  

South Lake Union Community Council board positions available for nomination at the 2016 Annual Meeting are: Community Elected Position No. 9 and Board Appointed Positions No. 1, No. 3, No. 7 andNo. 11.

Nominations may be sent to: info@SLUCommunityCouncil.org, hand delivered to the South Lake Union Community Council regular meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 or mailed via the U.S. Postal Service to the South Lake Union Community Council, 408 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109.

The recognized South Lake Union neighborhood leadership organization by the City of Seattle, the South Lake Union Community Council is the steward of the SLU neighborhood plan and collaboratively with community stakeholders authored the SLU Urban Design Framework and the SLU / Uptown Mobility Plan.
