Who We Are

Mercer Corridor Group represents a wide variety of interests, including neighborhood organizations, non-profits, major employers, small business owners, transit advocates and government entities. Mercer stakeholders have worked together since 2006 to review and inform major transportation projects in north downtown with the goal of making the neighborhood more accessible to all. Originally formed to help shape the redesign of the Mercer corridor, the Mercer Corridor Group has played an influential role in acquiring federal grants, realizing the South Lake Union Streetcar, and securing Sound Transit light rail stations in north downtown.

We believe that the best decisions are made when we make them together. That’s why our coalition consists of experts and representatives from a wide range of industries and modal groups— considering access needs for bicycles, freight, transit, pedestrians, cars, rideshare, and new and emerging mobility options. Because north downtown is part of a complicated transportation ecosystem, the Mercer Corridor Group expanded our representation to include Westlake Hub, Midtown, and south downtown. This expanded geographic scope allows us to thoughtfully consider the relationship between transportation hubs and the impacts of investments on our regional transportation network.
